im not sure if this has been posted in another thread but Agent Scotland tweeted earlier saying Hibs are interested in Jamie Murphy, and CAN afford him, if we dont sign Griffiths then we will be in for him!

He'd be cracking.

Think he will have better offers though.

We could afford to better his Motherwell wage, but so will lots of teams. I'd be happy to sign him, but I don't think it'll happen.

Sure i read yesterday Sheffield Utd or Wed were interested.

Don't know if there's any truth to it but there was a strong rumour somebody told me about Rangers as regards Murphy. Strange I know, but there must have been something on Twitter or the like, because several other people had heard the same rumour.

Both of these clubs will be in the old division three next season. Not saying that they wouldn't be better placed to pay bigger wages, but it would be money over obscurity for a while maybe.

League One and the SPL are roughly on a par with each other in terms of standard and facilities ect.

Anyway would love to see Murphy at Easter Road but would say its very very unlikely.

Agent Scotland wasn't correct once in the last transfer window iirc. Pile of *****.

Just had a chat with a friend who works at Leeds training ground who tells me the buzz down there is that Griffiths will sign for Leeds in the window .
Sorry but no way of verifying this - anyone else got a contact in Yorkshire ?

I think its safe to say Griffiths wont be with us come the end of January.

I can't believe any player would sign for a 3rd division team just for the money :)

I work with Jamie's dad and he will almost certainly move south in January, most likely to sheffield united or burnley.

Wouldnt be that surprised think Warnock keeps a relatively close eye on the Scottish league.

Think Warnock has previously gone on record to say that he is a Greenock Morton fan. Believe he has a retreat somewhere in that area.

Think he be heading to England pretty soon. But there are other Motherwell players that are out of contract, who could strengthen us. Nicky Law, Chris Humphrey, Michael Higdon.

With a name like Murphy he's bound to be Irish, surely not another?

Taking rumours seriously from someone on Twitter who calls himself "Agent Scotland".

Seriously?

Agent Scotland told us that Tom Taiwo had signed a 2 year deal, 2 weeks before he arrived at the club. I would say he gets half his info correct.

Given Sevco have just pocketed £22m via a share issue there is no chance of Hibs signing Murphy - we might stretch the budget to a crate of Murphy's Stout but that is as near as we'll get

I posted that long before Agent Scotland, he maybe reads messageboards.

Just read on SSN that 'Well are expecting Jamie Murphy to leave in the Jan transfer window, fingers crossed:wink:. But could we afford him, and would he come?

PF has said he is looking at signing players from the SPL, it would be a scalp for us, and with Clancey allready knowing him from 'Well, maybe just maybe...

I kind have thought he'd be off to Englandshire, but it still leaves me wondering who these targets are that PF was refering to. Usual Hibs and RP, no one will know untill the spanish inquisition has taken place.

Any ideas anyone?

£100k to Sheffield Wed. On a lot more than Hibs pay

Sir David Gray

There's no danger that Jamie Murphy will be a Hibs player.

He's off down south somewhere for an awful lot more money than we'll be able to afford.

It won't be Jamie Murphy but I have a hunch we will return to Motherwell, either in January as a signing or a pre contract for next season.

I remember McCall saying they were losing Clancy to a club that paid far more than they could offer.

Pure guesswork on my part mate.

Higdon would be one I think we might consider, especially if we don't get Daly from DU whom I believe could be a target. Don't know what to make of him to be honest, a bit of a huddy at times but always bags well into double figures each year.

Humphrey would be brilliant, others acceptable in my eyes would be Law, Hateley, Hutchinson.

Humphery, Law and Higdon would make excellent signings.

Did we no try and sign Law in the Summer but were telt tae Bolt from Well.
