I need a new one, but I don't like the plastic efforts my pro sells.
Any idea where I can get the more solid type, with the artificial grass?
I can't find them online.

I've ordered a rocket launcher as well, apparantly it's being shipped from Baghdad:greengrin
Seriously, looks good, wonder if it will cure my shank that has appeared since using mats.

I have been using the rocket launcher for a few weeks.
I get a higher ball flight from it than I usually do, and if you
have a press at the take away then the ball moves a bit
on the mat.
I'm no sure if I like them or not.

Not for me. I've never felt comfortable on the few occasions I've tried to use these portable mats.

I'm not a fan either but am keen to play all year. At Monifieth it is par 3 tees and fairways only this year (it used to first cut of rough also). We are also down to 3 months of Dec, Jan and Feb - its been as much as 4.5 months in my 6 years playing here. I aim for the egde of the fairways hoping for the light rough and it has been working - I've won 3 of 7 Winter League stablefords and top the First Division league table :greengrin
Still stuck at 9.6 though - was expecting a cut this week but it didn't happen. I was 38 points with net 66, and won by two. The average points were 33 - so I don't understand why I didn't get cut. An email is in to the Match Secretary :cb

Grass is a hardy substance so dinnae listen to moaning greenkeepers and green convenors for that matter!
And don't say I didn't warn you when you start thinning every shot next summer.
Ps I think I'll take a trip to the driving range this afternoon.

Had a few rounds with this mat - and it is a vast improvement on the previous version - thanks for the recommendation
