They do! It's pathetic, a special little kind of jambo that only surfaces for derby matches.

Hell I got one last night saying that they would be happy with that even if their club dies. It's damn tragic.

Hilarious.

Out of the cup in record time with none of the cup revenues they were desperately hoping for to come and the best the captain has to offer the village idiot collective that follows his side is "forget that we just set the worst record in Scottish football history for retaining the cup by getting knocked out by our biggest rivals, because we won the cup last year".

Ok Zal, that 5-1 gesture will pay all the bills. Not.

Tick tock.

I wouldn't be surprised if the perpetrator was keeping a low profile seeing as a) Wotherspoon has been given the goal and b) a supposed Hibby just asked for the name of a Jambo SC Winning captain on the back of a Hibs top (and presumably paid a wedge for the priviledge) but does anyone know this "sandwich short of a picnic" individual?

1-0 around the world is pretty damn funny, but I'd be saving the grandiose gestures for when we've papped them a few times on the trot, which hopefully we'll get the chance to now they've wangled a deal with HMRC.

This.

Regardless of how I've felt since the 19th May, Sunday was ****ing delicious, and I only see Hibs getting better and better while the Yams have at least 3 seasons of struggling ahead of them. No European football either while they have unpaid tax debt.

Hibs have the stadium, the training facilities and infrastructure to provide future success while they have to raid the bairn's piggy banks and bake cupcakes FFS to get from one day to the next.

The simple fact it's getting right on their wick makes it worth it. We know we're not serious and it's a piss take but times are changing and we could find ourselves winning far more derbies than we lose. That mob will fall apart come Jan and be packed with young kids. The 1-0 thread could be the start of something great and add other pics from Derby wins and truly show how on May the 19th Hibs didn't "die" as a club as they keep saying. It was a time when we were reborn and will never have a repeat scoreline ever again.

:agree: I don't think any Hibby would say that the final didn't sting - of course it did. A lot. But, in all seriousness, Hearts "cheated" by fielding a team full of players they couldn't afford (as they have been doing for the past 5+ years), were given a contentious penalty, and were facing one of the poorest Hibs sides in living memory. There are still sections of their massive support that claim they wouldn't care if Hearts went under after winning so emphatically on that day.

No amount of holding up six fingers (sometimes all on the one hand), however, will make the slightest bit of difference to their current predicament. They are being forced, at last, to live within their means, and spend only what they can afford on playing staff. Depending on who they lose in January, and who (if anyone) they are able to bring in, they could face a very tricky season. We'll see what they're made of now that the financial playing field has leveled, they have a budget-appropriate manager in John "Am Awright, Astute Is Ma Middle Name" McGlynn, and their top scorer is a centre back.

i'm sure this won't be popular, but here goes...this isn't getting on their wick at all, they find it hilarious that we could be gloating after a 1-0 home win after they beat is in a way that we can never really hope to live down, in the most important derby ever - and i can kind of understand, i think.

i love the fact that we beat them, but i really don't think this is bothering them - it's just making us look a bit strange. "HAHA, WE JUST BEAT YOU 1-0!!!" "yeah...but we beat you 5-1 in the biggest game in both our clubs' histories...less than a year ago" "yeah...but...1-0, HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" - just makes as look a bit simple.

if this shirt thing is actually by an inverness fan, then fair enough, why not - still a bit strange, but he's at least trying to bam up the yams, so g'aun yersel. if it's by a hibs fan, i can only say that it's making us look stupid. naturally, we needn't care what anyone else thinks about us - but it's a bit cringe worthy all the same, IMO.

their financial troubles are another issue - that is legit grounds for ripping into them...but winning 1-0 at home, then trying to rub that into them (and thinking its working), after THAT game?

An own goal in the last new year game, a penalty and sending off the season before, and deflecting Sunday's goal into his own net, Zaliukas has probably been our most potent threat in recent derbies.

Hopefully he'll continue in that vein January 3
