Not a great game of football, but who cares.

Who was your Man of the Match?

I thought McGivern played very well.

Back 4 and keeper were our top 5 - that tells its own story...

But McGivern was the best of those....Man C must have a few more excess to their massive squad...any wingers :greengrin

Williams and McGivern were the only two that played anywhere near normal form.Tiawo fought hard.I thought a lot of the others froze on the day and found the match too big for them -Cairney and Doyle in particular-which makes the fact that we won all the more commendable.

I realise that many will go for McGivern as Man of the Match but I thought Paul Hanlon was immense today.
Taiwo and Stevenson also had very good games.
McGivern/Hanlon but my vote goes to Paul Hanlon.

Stevenson for me, for the smallest player on the pitch he was winning every ball in the air

Mcgivern was a standout for me, but it was a really poor game. No matter, we beat them and that's all that counts.

Both CHs and the keeper were quality today. Midfield struggled to hold the ball.

The central defenders Mcgivern and Hanlon were our best players today

McGivern was my first reaction but i also thought Williams had a good game and also Caldwell and Sproule played well when they came on

McGivern without a doubt

McGivern. Absolute class act.

Credit to Big Ben for 2 important saves in the 1st half as well.

McGivern for me too. Thought Hanlon was safe as houses too. Lewis did well and what a difference having a decent keeper. The subs really did well when they came on too. Sproule looked good and I thought Caldwell was actually more effective than Sparky was today. Midfield were outnumbered but that is the way Hearts play loading that area. Caldwell must be close to getting a start even if Sparky recovers quickly. Doyle has went off the boli tha last few games.

McGivern. He's been superb, especially since he moved to centre back!

Taiwo, Stevenson, Hanlon and McGivern. Sparky and Doyle were pretty quiet, and Claros seems to be too far ahead of everyone else in terms of thinking. The amount of times he turns to look for a killer pass and has very little or no options...... Made him look a bit average today. Still....... :-)

McGivern, HoMOFC got nothing out of him today...

McGivern for me. He has stood up and been counted in McPake's absence and is looking like as important a signing as Griffiths would be in January. A pat on the back to Hanlon, Williams and Stevenson too.

Glad to see recognition of the effort that Stevenson and Taiwo put in. Thought they both had good games and Big Ben kept us from going behind early. But one clear winner as the poll shows.

Has to be McGivern, but Hanlon Stevenson and Williams were decent too.

Hibs were actually quite poor today and overrun in midfield at times ..... also the lack of service to Griffiths was annoying, as it was on Wednesday. If we are going to do anything this season we really have to put these struggling clubs to bed a lot earlier.

I plumped for Taiwo, but really it could have been Williams, McGivern, Hanlon or Stevenson as well. The whole team put in a shift.

It was a very scrappy game today and I don't think we had any standouts. The team as a whole deserve credit for work rate and endeavour and today we made our own luck by working hard. Its the kind of game we would have lost last and the result goes to show how much we've improved? But if I'd to pick one player it'd be Taiwo closely followed by McGirvin.

Stevenson for me, if only because he has done well in what is not his natural position. McGivern was immense though

I'd love to see McGivern stay at CB alongside McPake, that would be rock solid!

McGivern. A real class act. He won't be with us long term, but if we can keep him until the season end, and get Clancy and McPake back, then who knows what the next few months will bring.

I think that will be the CB pairing when we have our top of the table clash with smeltic at the end of the month.

It was obviously McGivern.

However, special mention for Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson. Can never understand why both are singled out for so much criticism on here.
