What is The Mash Tun like? I have heard positive reviews of its beers.

I've always been under the impression that they don't let people in wearing football colours although maybe that was in it's previous guise?

I can leave my scarf at home if it means I don't have to drink Tennents!

You can get in there with football colours no problem. I specifically asked about this a while ago, and they said it was fine. So unless they've changed their policy for the derby you should be fine.

I was planning on going in there, any idea why Hibs fans can't go in? I hope it's just because it's next to Bothwell Street and the bridge for that lot to cross over rather than anything else

My mate who is a jambo and a personal trainer has the owner as one of his clients, told me that the he is going there as the owner has told him he is opening for away fans only, not sure why.

Meh I'll just zip up and tuck my scarf in and go somewhere in town for some pints beforehand and not watch the MK Dons vs AFC Wimbledon match

Persevere is a very decent boozer.

Don't usually go in before Hibs games but quite often pop in for a pint mid week and always enjoy.

would you not rather go somewhere that's not full of jambos?

I'm going posh today, the Windsor Buffet. If I am inebriated enough I will approach Aidan Smith and tell him Heartfelt was rubbish.

I've had that book since it was launched. Never touched it. Will be useful to start the BBQ at my Auld Man's retirement doo next year.

I do know the Jambos he went to the games with.

Taken the advice of the forum and ended up in the Windsor Buffet. Good choice, especially after how many Jambos were in my usual haunt in Mather's.

4 in hand for me today ... it's been BTG for the past few years, having always gone 4IH before that. But was meeting some non-ST holding mates, so 4IH it was.

I've missed that pub ... there's just something about it that's pure Hibs.

The streets were stowed out. Great fun pre match, even better before and after. Well done all.:flag:
