Looks like our Hearts aren't the only deluded ones. Seems to have spread to Australia

Why is it 'deluded' when Del Piero is already in the A-League?

I suspect the quality of the A League is now on par, if not better, than the SPL these days :agree:

Phew ! Just as well the Celtc got out the news from Snoop Dogg and not a moment too soon they can milk this for a whole month now. Can just see his missus strutting about the Italian centre - avoiding folks asking for spare change ;)

"Melbourne Heart claim they are in talks with Beckham over a "10-game stint" in Australia, despite his camp saying he had "no plans" to play in the A League. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20353086) "

Makes me think it is deluded.

Please God NOOOOOOO!! Beckham Mania down here, I thought I escaped all that!!

He has gotta be giving it up soon, the own reason he would play would be to expand the 'Beckham' brand.

From the Beeb site:
===============
David Beckham's decision to leave the Los Angeles Galaxy is generating more speculation in Australia about a possible move by the former England captain to the A-League. But which club you like to see Beckham at next? Let us know your views using the hashtag #whowantsbecks (https://twitter.com/search/realtime?q=%23whowantsbecks&src=typd)
Philip Moss on Twitter: (https://twitter.com/phil_moss/status/270851811655684096) "I want Beckham to go to PSG so i can see him a Zlatan play together."

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up back at Man United. Or Spurs perhaps.

Maybe in a minority but I like Beckham.

Won everything there is to win at club level, always turned up for international duty, very fit and made the most of the talent he had.

I'm sure he'll be a success wherever he goes.

I like Beckham as well. Think he has made the best of his abilities and minimised his lack of speed. Off the pitch he is a real gentleman with no arrogance. (Think Spice makes up for that)

:agree:

Never understood peoples's dislike of Beckham. Jealousy or anti-English sentiment probably. A quality player who may not zoom about the park like a blue arsed fly but would still stroll into a lot of 1st team squads, if not starting 11, around the world.

What, still? I agree that Beckham has always put his sport first and been a dedicated, professional athlete, which is commendable. But he's 37 now... Not sure he could still cut it at the highest level.

Could do a job for us though!

Thread title got my hopes up there.

I thought he was being sent from the Milky Way to Andromeda with that stick of a woman he hits about with.

Brand Beckham - surely only a matter of time before they name one of their kids "brand" ;)

And the Beckham gravy train rolls on... he's been out of the limelight recently and his agent must be pulling teeth, don't think that soor faced wummin of his would fancy getting to grips with all the creepy crawlies down under..thon Celebrity jungle thingy doesn't do Oz any favours eh?

I like Beckham. His move from Madrid to Galaxy done wonders for the MLS 'brand'. Wether he goes to Ligue 1 or the A-League he'll do the same just by being there.

Del Piero's "people" also denied he was moving to the A-League.

The thing that most people who do not follow the MLS fail to realise is that he is playing better now at 36/37 than he was at 33/34.

Not in a million years, those of you complaining about watching gash in the SPL should think yourselves lucky. Although I am sure many will disagree and try to convince themselves it is not that bad. It is that bad. It really is.
