Ok, a bad day at the office today, and disappointing to say the least. However with Sparky scoring for the 6th league game in a row, anybody know what the club record is and by whom for scoring in consecutive league games. I ask as there was a lot of comments about the boy McGinn at the sheep closing in on there record recently.

Leigh was poor today but still scored. He is vital to this team. He is the difference between us most the teams in the SPL

Did GoC not have a habit of going on long scoring runs?

Think about 15 yards was his longest:greengrin

However I think he holds the record for us in the SPL, in his first spell with the club I'm sure he got 7 or 8 games in a row.

Gazza holds it, he managed 7 games in a row my Dad reckons, he scored it in a 2-1 loss against United apparently.

Ally Mcleod scored in 8 games in a row for us , which is the best outside the old firm .
Mark Viduka[spl] and Marco Negri [scottish league premier games]both hold the record with 10 .
But the scottish record is held by a Evelyn Morrison who managed 18 games in a row with Falkirk in the 1st div 1918.

Had a nose at ihibs and although not a proper search it appears Joe Baker netted 20 times in 10 consecutive league games in Nov/Dec 1959.

It may not be 100% accurate but if it is, those were indeed the days!!!!:flag:

He has been worth a hell of a lot of points for us. Dragged us to three points against the buddies two week ago

Poor today but still.bagged a goal. Needs to.take a few mire chances. A.d in general we need to.be more positive going forward.

Really? Wouldn't it be easier to stop conceding goals? If he took any more chances, do you think he would be a Hibs player?

He didn't say but the impression i got was that he wanted to sign for hibs the problem is that his uncle doesn't seem to be a big football fan so when i speak to him he never has all the answers to my questions
