Just a wee bit of advice. Want to buy one for my nephew for Christmas. Are they usually available in time for Xmas?

I would have thought the 1st game you would be able to use it would be the Celtic game on the 29th December. Hibs will have played 9 home games by then with 9 to go.
would make sense for this to be available by Xmas

Think you are right with this.

Following on from The Rangers situation I commited to getting back to ER if we were playing at home at 3pm on a Saturday.
This has led on to going to yesterdays match which in turn has swayed me to go for the half season when they become available.
Have to say I will then probably commit to the full season ticket next year as well as have defo caught the bug again.

If the half season ticket includes the Celtic game on 29th what happens if Hibs have already allocated all the tickets to season ticket holders plus a free ticket for each season? I know its maybe a remote chance but with the team doing well it could happen. How do we sell half season tickets that include a game that supporters might (theoretically at least) not be able to get into?

Hibs will have had 17 away games by the break.

That means we should only have 2 away after the break and 3 at home, giving a total of 19/19.

The half seasons cover 10 home games, including the A category games against Hearts and Celtic (2).

The total walk up price for those 10 games for an adult in the East or West would be £241.

Calm.

We have average home crowds of 10,000 (Hibbies) now which has increased roughly by a few hundred each game since season started.
We must have 7-8000 seasons suggesting 2-3000 walk ups roughly.
Do you think all those and more will buy a half season?

There are plenty people prefer to PATG as they can't make all games so if we sell over a thousand it will be a good result, 2000 tremendous.

I don't see why we can't get at least 3,000. There were 20,000 Hibs fans at the final and if we have 8,000 current hibs season ticket holders then I see no problem in getting that up. Especially if we beat hearts on 2nd December as I think many patg fans for that game will be tempted to buy one.

At £65 for FF upper for a Hibs future, its a fantastic deal. This should be circulated around all the students in Edinburgh, especially those who may be living away from home. £65 to be able to watch SPL football every Saturday until the end of the season. I think it should be widely marketed and pinned up on every student noticeboard as well as work places. I bet a lot of people will be unaware this is on offer.

Bob Box Fish

Will depend on form and also the cup result against hearts.
If we can maintain (or close to) current form then around 1500 could be realistic. If we lose to hearts then that's another story.

Most season tickets we had was 12k including around 2k half season tickets in the Mowbray era.

Vini1875
15-11-2012, 01:01 PM
Two things hugely important. 1 maintaining the current form. 2 winning against hearts on the 2nd and at tynie and beating celtc.

In general I still think many people expect Hibs to have a slump and this current form is purely down to an early season run which won't last. It will take something a bit special to shift that viewpoint like I said in points 1 and 2. However if we could accomplish that then an air of optimism might start to blossom.

Personally I'm enjoying each result as it happens and not worrying too much about the future.

Assuming an average 10,000 Hibs fans at each game. Less 8,000 st holder's, leaves 2,000 walk ups each week. In reality these 2,000 probably come from a pool of 3-4,000. It's likely we would get about 10%-20% of these to commit. So anywhere between 400 and 800 is my guess. Hopefully its closer to the mark in the op though!!

A lot of the guys that turned up for the final no longer live in or around Edinburgh. I went with a group of 10 - 4 from Edinburgh. 1 from Ireland, 1 from London, I from Germany, 1 from Aberdeen, 1 from France and myself from Devon. Also met up with a group of 10 from Liverpool at Hampden. The airport was buzzing with fans arriving from all over on the Friday before the final - there were 4 other Hibbys on my plane from Exeter.

Lots of us who can't get to Easter Road regularly would pay for a 'virtual' season ticket to include membership card, a few PAYG games, digital match day programme, priority cup tickets and Hibernian TV. Another income stream for the club - many English clubs do a version of it.

Went down this morning to buy 3 half season tickeks. Never thought to check if the shop would be open so it will be another wee while before I go down that way. It wasn't really cost effective to buy them as a mate has offered me free tickets for the Celtic game and I am bound to miss at least one more. Might just pay at the gate after all. I know it was my fault for not checking but does seem strange not to open until noon on a Friday. Presume there isn't enough footfall to warrant openning.

I think a win today will result in a big and noisy Hibs support for the Aberdeen game. If we were to win that game, I could see a lot of people interested in buying a half season ticket. I really do feel that Fenlon is turning us around from being a weak team that had no fight, to a difficult to beat team that has class where it matters. The next two games will tell me whether we can have a really good season or an average season.

Even an average season is improvement! Seriously though., crowds are improving and if we can stay in the top 3-4, more bums will be put on seats

Anyone received there's through the post yet? Not worried before anyone says so, just wondering. In fact, I don't even know why I'm posting this apart from curiosity

Doesnt it say on the form something about if you've applied by the 14th of December you'll have it in time for Xmas:confused:..... This implies that they will get whoever makes them up "en masse" on the 15/16 December prior to a mass mailing. Makes sense I gues to get them printed all at once as it will be cheaper:wink:

I could be wrong mind:rolleyes:
