If you have children, you may, quite rightly, keep a check on their Facebook and/or Twitter activities.

However, please be aware that there are anonymous sites, such as ask.fm, that allow your kids to interact with others with no names being attached to anyone's comments.

These sites are now a haven for bullies.

My partner attended the funeral in Ireland a couple of weeks ago of the 13-year old girl, her neice, from the attached newspaper story, who took her own life as a result of bullying. One of these sites was a way for these bullies to post their vile comments.

There is now a massive campaign in Ireland to bring the issue of cyber bullying to the attention of parents, teachers, MP's etc.

I hope that the none of my friends will ever suffer the pain that this young girls' family must be going through.
