Guys, heading to Milan this weekend, taking in an Inter game while I'm over! Also taking the mrs, making sure I get the footie after her shopping! Is it a good idea to sit in the curva nord! With the die hards! Will I get really bad looks if I don't no words to songs etc?? Really want to sit there for the atmosphere! Anybody been?

I don't think inter fans like the name "San siro". They associate that with Milan and prefer to call it by it's official name, the "Giussepe Meazza"

I'm going over in a couple of weeks, didnt even think about taking in a game until I saw this post! Just checked and Inter at home to Napoli, should be quite tasty!!

How much does it cost to get in does anyone know?? Can you just pay at the gate or do you have to purchase tickets in advance!

Getting quite excited about going now! Would also like to sit beside or near the ultra's and listen to them chant all the sh*te of the day!

I went a few years ago and bought in advance from seatwave with the ticket (which was about £20) dropped off to my hotel. Worked out perfectly though as the tickets were there when I checked in. Did the stadium tour the day before the game which is done in both Italian and English. Great experience, amazing size of stadium although the toilets were the squat style ones which didn't appeal to me (McDonalds near the metro station was the better option!)
On the travel front, I bought a 48 hr underground pass for 5 euros which made Milan ridiculously easy to travel around

I went to an AC game about 3 years ago and I think we were in with the hard core. I was wearing a Hibs top and it seemed fine. Take photo id with you for some reason we needed it to get tickets at the ground.

For some reason somebody seemed to have done a jobby on the stairs as well. Interesting supporters.
