My thoughts exactly, they are a decent side but our defence apart from the goal was rock solid, midfield and attack were superb and the wee man Cairney is just a delight to watch at times.

Skacel was only out for himself, turned his back on a few throw ins coz he wasn't in a shooting position, was only interested in shooting, didn't give a **** about utd as long as he could noise us up by scoring, take that ya cock, hopefully you'll get referred to the video official at the sfa for trying to be hard man at the end and trying to stick the head on claros. Noticed he then ran away and let gunning and sproule get booked

McGivern was immense, hopefully folk will give Alan Maybury tremendous credit for a couple of goal saving tackles and blocks, Cairney superb - Leigh and Eoin were so hard working today up top.
I now know why Kuqi doesn't start many - very very very poor player.
Fantastic result today and for a team with three missing, all worked hard as a team.

Have to say that I really enjoyed the game today, we played really well against a good side (who we have not beaten in a long time).
We scored 2 wonderful goals and they only scored because we gifted them a goal, which made it a nail biting finish, but the make shift defence stood firm in which McGivern was outstanding.
Special mention for Cairney who was superb and helped create both goals, this lad has been a real find and hopefully Fenlon can unearth 1 or 2 more like him.
I think we are the real deal this season and will hopefully maintain our challengeat the top end of the league.
Well done to Pat Fenlon and a great team performance.

We gifted them the goal, but United had a lot of decent possession in the 2nd half and a couple of really good efforts - Skacel hit the bar with a tremendous effort, and on another day he would have scored with the one he put well wide ... fail to see how you think they weren't "at the races".
Thought it was a good game of football all round - Hibs played really well, great team effort - overall we probably deserve the points.

Today was such a great team performance with two fantastic goals and plenty tension at the end. Add two pantomime villains on the pitch and what more could you ask for.
Picking the MoM was very difficult and I can see why Cairney got it as he was instrumental in both goals. I would have given it to Claros for overall work rate and contribution. He is a class act.

Me too. I had a few quid on griffiths anytime at 7/5, so when he scored I put my winnings on hibs to score the next goal at 5/4. When it went 2-1 and he came on I stuck a couple of quid on Skacel anytime at 5/1. A bet I was delighted to lose, but it seemed a certainty.

Just home from the game today. What a TEAM performance. There were no passengers what-so-ever in the starting 11. Was a wee bit concerned at start of the game, what with that cheating rat Thomson as ref, his love-child scatchel, [ really hate that odious wee rat], and to top it off no McPake. What with Unt having recovered a bit of form in past few weeks, if I am being honest, was fearful of a defeat today. However..........no need to worry, we now have a team/squad of fighters who give everything for the cause. Really solid all-round team effort with the class of Cairney, [ what a steal he was, best signing for god knows how many years], the natural goal-scoring talents of Griffiths, the had work of Claros in midfield and the "they shall not pass" attitude of our back 4. SO much different from the last 2-3 seasons. Cairney deserved his MoM award. The only blip was the crazy defensive lapse which gifted Unt a goal. {IMO Williams has to take the blame here, had ample opportunity to wellie the ball up/out of the park]. Having said that , Well done to all the players today. Really pleasing. All the more encouaging when you think that we have 3 first - pick players in McPake/Deegan and Clancy to come back. Looking good Hibs, just don't let it all slip away now.

Some great performances today. McGivern really good in the middle at the back and Cairney superb with the ball at his feet. The two goals could both grace the goal of the season comps. Equal blame for the goal between Hanlon and Williams for me. Both could have cleared quite easily. Cant believe the room we gave that wee ****bag when he came on. He looked half a stone over weight and still kept getting into positions unmarked. I think Kuji should be used as a striking coach. He looked unbelieveably slow and nowhere near fit.
On a lighter note that is the first game my 7 year old daughter sat through and enjoyed. This was confirmed at home when I heard her belting out GGTTH from the top of her voice from the throne. If anyone has kids get seats close to Section 43. My kids really enjoyed the atmosphere and I can safely get 3 half season tickets now my lass has the Hibs firmly under her skin. It was tough to indoctrinate last year.
