There was me thinking that the last thing they needed was a player being hounded by the media for going down easy in the penalty area, but no, there was Burley and the unemployed £9m lesbian straight in. "Definite penalty", even though he went down with his hand in the air before there was any contact. They may be immoral **** but they've still got support in all the right places.

That was a definite penalty.

I have watched the arsenal game, and towards the end of the half it did look that way, but it looked pretty full before that? People getting to the bars and food kiosks early i'd imagine?

Disagree with Ray Wilkins - nothing wrong with the challenge before the goal. Both players leaned into each other and Benteke was stronger.

Tonight's game at Villa Park is another example of why Manchester United are so good to watch. It's never boring. Even at 0-2 in an away game, you never think it's over. It's attacking football in every game. However, they have to break the habit of waiting until they go behind before they start playing. The absence of Vidic is costing goals, luckily there are enough top class forwards to compensate.

Agree with this post. But the thing is mate, they were still conceding goals at the start of the season when Vidic was still in the team before getting injured again. One thing for sure they definitely need and that is a big tough tackling strong midfielder. They have been crying out for one since Roy Keane. It's no surprise that they have recently been linked with Victor Wanyama from Celtic. He would be a great signing for them as he can play in midfield and cover at CB as well.

United should have signed Dembele from Fulham before Spurs grabbed him. I totally agree that United need a midfield dynamo and that it's been obvious for a few years. If they could get a box to box midfielder, United would walk the EPL. Smalling didn't look fully fit tonight and demonstrated how much Jonny Evans has come on. Valencia is fantastic on the right, either Nani or Young need to start producing on the left, and I think Kagawa will prove superb. The attacking options are awesome but too many goals are being given away, something a tough tackling midfielder would help reduce.

Dembele would have been an awesome signing. A missed opportunity for united, that's for sure. Even Javi Martinez who used to play for Bilbao before signing for Bayern Munich, for a club record €40M, would have been a wonderful signing. Then again Wanyama could be a very good signing for them. Only 21 years old and can only get better and better especially under Sir Alex's guidance. But yeah, they definitely for sure need a box to box midfielder plus a good left winger as Young & Nani are inconsistent.

The next four league games are Norwich, QPR, West Ham and Reading. It should be 12 points, meaning 39 from a possible 45, which would be a fantastic start, especially after losing the first game. You can never say anything with certainty, but United have a great chance over the next few weeks to rack up the points. The Champions League group is already sewn up so it's looking good. Mon the Red Devils.

Just watched MOTD. Ridiculous that Arsenal got a penalty at the end for a 'handball'. Guy had the blasted at him from a yard away when he was moving his arm behind his back.

Justice was served. Well done Fulham.

Yeah that was a shocker.

Also, how on earth did Danny Rose get booked for diving in the Everton-Sunderland match!? Absolute stonewall foul, comical how the referee thought he was cheating!
