Actor Bill Tarmey, who played Jack Duckworth in ITV soap Coronation Street, has died.
Tarmey, 71, left the soap in 2010, after more than 30 years on the show.

RIP. Good actor and corrie isn't the same without the old guard like him

I haven't watched Corrie for years. It was the only vaguely realistic soap on the box and you used to get a laugh with characters like Jack.

There's no humour in it now and the stories are absurd, I'm told.
