We seem to be acting as a middle man because the money is coming out of his wages.

Although, I really don't see the point - unless Petrie factored in a % for Hibs. :greengrin

Maybe Leigh just doesn't want to see the guy again/ doesn't want to be seen as him actually given the money as some sort of ego thing? :dunno:

Players are big babies and need to be looked after. I can imagine when the story was all over the paper Hibs and Leigh came to an agreement that they will deduct the 500 from his wage and send it on to the uncle. No big deal and problem solved, club is happy, player is happy and uncle has his money.

The worrying aspect of this for me, is that if Leigh has financial problems, he may be tempted by an offer of a wage somewhere that Hibs cannot hope to match :offski:

I thought this too....if you look at his pics on twitter it's clear he is not living in some penthouse pad so he may go after the money :/
