Just reading the Hibs newsletter email and it says Season Ticket holders have until 24 November to claim a free ticket for the Celtic match on Saturday 29 December.
What's this all about ?
Is it Hibs giving Season Ticket holders a wee christmas bonus so they can bring friends/family to boost the crowd ?

No matter, it gets the thumbs up from me

:agree: So that's why The Tache voted No to Newco, to save him having to shell out free () tickets for 2 games :greengrin

It was part of this season's ST deal. I'm not sure if it was for Early Birds only but it definitely applied to any OF league games at ER.

Theoretically, as we have 8,000 ST holders, we should be able to get 16,000 in the home end without anyone having to pay for a ticket. Sadly, that seems unlikely to happen, even though thousands could get a free ticket.

I think you can safely assume that the game will not be 3pm on the Saturday.

Official site has this below match info.

*Date and time of fixture is subject to change
I think after some discussion at LWT meetings this is the club way of intimating this without breaching contacts they have to adhere to

I'm trying to get my free tickets for the Celtic game, I have 3 ST's under my name but online the system will only allow me to assign 1 ticket to my name?

any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Cheers :hibees

I booked all our 4 this morning. You probably need to activate all your client ref ni's before you can assign them.

Not sure how many will be applicable for this but say
3,000 early bird = 6000 tickets
5,000 additional season tickets = 5000
Smellies = 3800
Total to date = 14,800
Only around 5,000 needed for a full house

The website says all tickets will be delivered by post but when you go to buy them you only get three options: Collect, Collect(student) and add to member card. Bit confusing that but I guess I'll just need to give them an e-mail if they don't get it in the post.

Anybody got any idea if it's getting switched?!

There was a thread where it was mentioned but I can't recall what was said.

I know its only £1.50 but I thought that one of the benefits this year was no booking fees?

Booked a ticket no problem. Charged £1.50 when under the ST deal there was to be no booking fees. But still a great give away from Hibs

Got my 3 yesterday. Early bird was well worth the cash.

I also had to pay £1.50 for each ticket.
Still a great deal, and not to fussed about paying £3 for an additional 2 tickets, but its a bit of a shambles that some people are having to pay, when others are getting their ticket without a booking fee.

is the ticket office number the 0844 number? Is this just a machine or will a real person be on the end of the line?

How are some not having to pay a booking fee? It looks like I will. I may as well go along to the shop instead to get one.

Went into the Clubstore today too and got a free ticket for the Famous Five Upper. The seat next to mine which is usually empty is taken so the girl showed me the seating plan - didn't seem too be many left if I'm not mistaken.

I got mine from the club store today too.

It was a close thing though. After standing for a few minutes as 1 member of staff served the guy in front of me and the other 2 members of staff had a chat and a laugh I was on the verge of walking out but one of the others took a break from their break to serve me.

Picked my 3 seats online but was getting charged £1.50 each so just went in and picked them up on the way home instead. Giving mine to a family who don't normally go to football in the hope they keep coming back as the kids are keen!

Decided to pay the 1.50 booking fee online and purchase the free ticket for my husband. It would have probably cost us more in petrol to get down to the shop so I suppose its still a good deal.

Is that allowed? Even if it is I think that's quite sad; just my opinion.

Mine's going to a mate in the hopes that he will enjoy his first Hibs match and continue to make trips up. He is insisting on paying so I'll probably just give the freebie away to a poster or to a walk-up when I'm up there. A ticket sold and a Hibbie gained hopefully!

With the free tickets for the Celtic game, I have a few yam mates who will be looking for a new club to support once the inevitable happens down the PBS. How would you feel about sitting next to one?
