IN two spells with St Mirren – sandwiching a two-year spell with Bristol City – Tony Fitzpatrick made 458 appearances for the Paisley club, having been made team captain at the age of just 17 by manager Alex Ferguson. His tally was a club record until broken this year by Hugh Murray.
