Notice the commentator said that Hamill's challenge on Wotherspoon was 'well outside' the penalty area.

To my eye, it looks as if both Hamill and Wotherspoon are straddling the line when contact's made - hardly 'well outside'? From where the ref was (centre-field and diagonally behind the incident, IIRC, it wouldn't be easy to call, but the 18-yard line IS part of the penalty area.

Law 1 - The Field of Play: "The field of play must be rectangular and marked with lines. These lines belong to the areas of which they are boundaries."

So if the 18-yard line is part of the 18-yard box, and Hamill and Wotherspon are straddling the line?

Oh, and Griffiths was brilliant last night - how can we keep him? :not worth
