:agree:

Certainly with it being so small and compact it can really create an intimidating atmosphere, especially when you can hear every fan shout.

Very very true. A pacey winger who can take defenders on would do wonders for the side.

I'm told we are looking at Chris Erskine from Partick Thistle - very direct, left sided player, very good scoring record.

Maybe a little piece of advice to Paddy from Paul Cairney?

Funny what constitutes as a Red Card these days... Aw well shall be interesting now !

Edit: And that was Tiote for Newcastle, no Jamco red cards I'm afraid !

Yes yes yes yes yes. Been thinking that for weeks. Easily an SPL player.

He's been on the radar since last season apparently. The coach that told me said he reminded him of a stronger (as in physique) Michael O'Neill - that will do for me. Has a very good rapport with Cairney on the pitch. We shall see. I hope we do go for him from what I've heard.

Have you seen him play a few times? Is he quick?

Think he scored yesterday but other than that never heard of him but we could definately be doing with some pace in the team

From this season - his other goal was better.

I think Tiote's red card was pretty harsh, but even with 10 men Newcastle look the better side. They have not got the ball in possesion as much now but every time the ball is at Ben Arfa's feet they look a real threat.

Hearts are a poor poor team to watch but fair play they have a defence which doesn't give much away and a bit of width.

Maybe a little piece of advice to Paddy from Paul Cairney?

Not sure if it would be Paul's wisest move reccomending a player who plays the same position as he has this season!

Not lightning quick but quick enough. Good touch and scores goals. I would think that if you'd watched Partick last year you'd have been more than happy with him or Cairney.

This is only based on a few SFL TV highlights and their last two Ramsdens Cup games mind you.

*******s!

They'll be on level points with us by the end of next week, as no doubt Motherwell will some how "bounce back" from this and I don't see Ross County getting another result after yesterday, especially away from home.

IMO you could be describing Wotherspoon, he'd score goals at a lower level as well.

Never seen the boy play but i think we really need someone a bit different with bags of pace, i know this will sound daft as he scored a good goal but from that clip he looked a bit awkward.

Never seen him play though so i'm happy to take your word for it but would have to admit to being a bit dissapointed that he's not a speed merchant if we are after him.

Over 11,500k at the game that's on tv and early kick off. Not bad at all. That would be seen as a good attendance for us.

To be fair i put this thread up before kick off and it did fill up a lot in the few minutes between me posting this thread and the game kicking off.

What i would say is though that I think if we'd won the scottish cup the year before we'd have around that many season ticket holders, if they do go on a downward spiral now they've got no cash and do start finishing regularly in the bottom six i think they'll struggle for crowds probably more than we do just now as they seem to have expectations way beyond what they've ever actually achieved.

Yup. Hearts scraping a win today was as predictable as Hibs defeat yesterday . Yesterday was a great chance to cement second place and open a bit of a gap from the pack. However, that would not be the Hibs way.

Before the season started where did you think we would be in the league? Given the shambles of last season I find it remarkable that people are now shocked that we have not 'cemented' second place.
