History books could mean 10 years and not forever as the sales blurb indicates. Always read the terms and conditions!

Saw that, so permanent feature for ten years???? Not a bad idea until you read the T's & C's.

It says a minimum of ten years but they fully expect them to be there for a lot longer.

The idea is excellent. The marketing could have been better. Permanent cf 10 years, is the bit that needs better handling. I wonder if it falls within the scope of ASA.

I will be doing one for my late wife and father. Warriston crematorium does something similar and you know up front it is not permanent.

I suppose something potentially sensitive to people needs sensitive handling and not marketing.

Shouldn't think so as they do explain the ten years minimum.

The 10 years bit is tucked away in the T&Cs, the main advert states "and become part of the fabric of Easter Road Stadium forever"

No it's not actually, the ten years is minimum is explained in the FAQs, under 'How long will the stones last?'

.... yeh, and it states FOREVER on the main advert.

The moaning is unbelievable. If you don't want one don't buy one, simples.

Even if they're taken down after 10 years (despite 'minimum' being stated), £5 a year is pretty reasonable, I'd say.

What is your beef exactly? Nothing lasts FOREVER.

They were never going to be guaranteed to be around forever. They have stated a minimum lifespan and that they will most likely be around for a lot longer.

Who's moaning? I have no problem with it, even if it is for 10 years minimum, the only thing I don't get is why they are saying "forever" in the main advert.

Don't worry - I'm sure Rod will have a plan in place that will enable you to buy it back from the Club after 10 years if you so desire.

If there was a national rulebook writers federation then this thread would be the types of conversation that they would have.

Sorry, but, as one or two have said on here before, the add is misleading, Forever, is not 10 yrs whether its minimum or not, we would all be miffed if Hibs advertised Season tickets for 200 quid but when you paid for them it ended up being 300 quid cos in the small print it said only for two days.

That's what the Yams did with their season tickets, except instead of two days it was 20 minutes. :tee hee:

We are planning to install the first phase of The East Terrace in January/February 2013 (subject to weather and the level of stones purchased at this time). Thereafter, future phases will be announced on the website.
