Our community coaching programme, Green Shoots is back, offering a week long Autumn holiday coaching course and Friday afternoon term time sessions at the Hibernian Training Centre, East Mains, by Ormiston, East Lothian.
Green Shoots continues to be a major development for the Club with hundreds of young football hopefuls, aged 5 - 12 years, enjoying the chance to play, enjoy and achieve through football grown by Hibernian FC.
Our fun, holiday courses offer the opportunity for youngsters to participate in our "Wacky Wednesday" competition, with a fantastic prize for the winner. "Fun Friday", the weekly course ends with a fun tournament and all participants have the opportunity to meet with the first team squad and to add to their autograph collection…
THE TRAINING
Attendees on Green Shoots courses will be trained by fully qualified members of our Hibernian FC community coaching team and will experience a fun filled week covering the following skills:
MOVEMENT - Off the ball, on the ball, creating space, confusing the opposition…
FIRST TOUCH AND CONTROL - Making the ball your friend and doing the soft shoe shuffle…
PASSING - Keeping it simple, using your vision, the killer ball, the Hibee route to goal…
FINISHING - Learn net-busting techniques…
GAMES - Show off your skills in regular matches every day….
All participants will be considered for the opportunity to take part in Green Shoots fun half-time activities on the hallowed Easter Road turf throughout the season! Best behaviour and sportsmanship are the qualifications for this…

AUTUMN ACES 2: Monday 15 - Friday 19 October 2012, 11am - 3.30pm daily, cost £65 (£60 Hibs Kids members)
CHILLY CHAMPIONS: Fridays, 2 November - 7 December 2012, 2.00pm - 4.00pm, cost £40 (£35 Hibs Kids members)
All sessions are open to both boys and girls, aged 5 - 12 years inclusive.
