The thread on the old scarves got me thinking on a bit of a tangent. I know that there are retro tops available from retailers that sell Toffs products. It seems that the club shop are missing a turn here and that they could stock the aforementioned items. That got me thinking about other Hibs stuff that would appeal to fans.

My own favourite would be the early 70's evening news poster of the tornadoes. My copy was much cherished and sadly long since perished. A reprduction of that would surely be very popular. Also, retro scarves featuring the older club crests and in a more traditional material. I'm sure that they would go down a treat.

What do folk think, any other items that could appeal to the retro market?

If you buy one you get to sit cross-legged at the touchline with a rattle.

Ha Ha, that brings back a lot of memories, had one when I was a boy [around 1967ish], were all the rage then, after them came the workies hard hats which you painted with whatever design took your fancy. Ah, the good old days. [ was only half-a-crown to get into the match as well -[ thats 12 1/2p to you youngsters out there]

I remember the big badges you could buy for your scarf that had cartoon caricatures of the Hibs players drawing by the EEN cartoonist of that era. One i seem to remeber having had a picture of George Stewart with the immortal words "gie us a nod big Dod".

Gilzean "Supermac" & "Jesus saves but Brownlie nets the rebound" badges

The 7-Up t shirts they brought out early 80's as modelled by Gordon Rae in the programme

Also remember the "Hearts went down faster than the Titanic" badges late 70's

80's Gazelle of course :agree:

Are the 'original' Gazelles much different from the current ones? I have three pairs in red, forest green and grey. They're timeless.

I'd love to get my hands on either an Umbro or Adidas Hibs top from the 80's :agree:
