Ryan Tunnicliffe made his debut for Manchester United 1st team tonight.....when he was 9 years old his dad put 100 quid on a bet that he wud play for the united 1st team at some point and got odds of 100/1......10 grand for him in the morning :thumbsup:

I remember a similar story about Chris Kirkland the goalkeeper, his dad put a bet on him playing for England the week he was born. He got something like 10,000/1 if my memory is right, and he was named in a number of squads only to pull out through injury.

I think he was even named to play once but was injured just before the game, his dad will have been gutted on two counts.

Not quite. Dad put £100 on at 100/1 when he was 11......and he did play once for England.

Interesting but could I just walk into any bookie and ask for price for my laddie to one day play for hibs? He is 5 months old and has a piggy bank full of money form generous aunts i was looking ot invest :greengrin
