Just watched Brum getting a tonking (5-0 at home to Barnsley) and couldn't see Murph.

Does anyone know of his whereabouts, is he injured, has he moved and I missed it??

Always imagine he'll return to ER at some point for a final hurrah in green & white.

Any info appreciated!
Cheers

Is Coco still there or did he go to Norwich with Hughton?

As someone said above, yes, he was subbed....but it was because he was injured, not because of anything else. Hamstring allegedly.
It was 0 - 0 at the time as it was only 25mins when he had to go off.

Went to Norwich.

Was he not sent to Coventry ? ;)

Blues supporter at work says he's still highly regarded, and he signed a new 2 year deal at the end of last season. All of Barnsley's goals came after he was subbed, so no blame attached to a player, whose departure, for me, was a devastating blow and a signature moment in our decline

Truly Hibs Class :not worth

Would love to see the guy back here one day.

A no nonsense defender with a sensational touch and pass.

His first touch was so good he was thinking about his second touch before he received the ball. Class act.

He was a good few levels above us TBH, but he achieved that by playing for us. A great example of taking a step back to take a step forward.

Overlapping full backs is something that's sadly missing from our present team, although that might be as much to the way P.F. has us playing, slightly safety first, defenders defend etc.

Davy Murphy was, IMO, the best left back we have had at ER since Schaeds, although I remember some on here slagging him for being too slow and couldn't defend.

Too true , one point on Saturday Cairney received the ball from Maybury had a defender at his back and AM should have been overlapping but stopped . Think this may be an athletic issue ie Maybury too slow to get back after being upfield .

PS Loved Murphy

Yep, caught his gormless coupon behind Hughton during the MOTD2 last night looking very much like the 'No 2' he always was and always will be ....... so glad that part of our history is behind us.

Onwards and upwards, we've still got a fair bit to go but in Pat we trust.
