Since I started having lessons from David Burns at Kingsfield (2 so far), I've played in 2 medal competitions.
On August 15th, I hit buffer for the first time in 14 months, and yesterday, I scored net 73 and was cut 0.3, even with two 8's and a 7 on my card.
Obviously I was disappointed with the bad holes, but it's definite progress at last, and given that I will be continuing with my lessons, I'm cautiously optimistic about my golfing future again.
Many thanks are due to GreenLex for recommending I go to David Burns, a recommendation I confidently pass on to anyone else looking for improvement.
