Apologies. It was just a throwaway comment, not an order. How very dare I find the guy entertaining. Sorry.

:faf: If you are going to indulge in reverse snobbery (or as I call it, snobbery) at least get your target right. Your average Lancashire cricketer ain't no 'chappy'.
As for the main thrust of your post I reckon most viewers are intelligent enough to realise the programme will be little more than an updated version of 'Go With Noakes!' (Google it kids. :greengrin) Lighten up.

the" programme " you talk about will be a professional boxing bill, so has to be covered by the b.b.b.o.c so there wont be no go with noakes kak involved . its real , that is if fred gets licensed first of course, if not he could exchange slaps with russell grant for children in need, back in the real world. you lighten up !!

It's being set up as a Sky 1 special.............take it as seriously as you want. I'll watch it as a light entertainment programme. Nowt worth getting yourself worked up over. Peace and love. I will try and lighten up as you suggest though...........:greengrin

I like Flintoff as well. Yes, he made his name as a cricketer - a damn good one too - but he is without any airs and graces and he is a million miles away from your lords snobs.

Dunno what to make of the boxing thing but I shall tune in to watch.

Hatton is making a comeback? Do you reckon he'll get back to light welterweight?

Not confirmed but its the worst kept secret going. Expect an announcement in a week or so.

He's lost about 2 and a half stone in the last couple of months. Think the plan is welterweight, where he struggled even in his prime. A bout in late Novemeber is being targeted, at the MEN, with a view to a rematch with Paulie Malignaggi in NY next year.

Granted I've only seen hatton on ssn lately but he looks well overweight even for his new weight limit

He's about 11 stone 7lbs apparently so a stone overweight.

Pretty good really. Ricky used to be known to shed about 3 stone in a 12 week training camp and unfortunately that meant he was peaking too early in the gym. A stone or thereabouts is just about right for a boxer to be losing preparing for a fight so a solid 8 week training camp should see him hit the ring in decent condition. He'll never make 10 stone again, the fight against Pacquaio was a joke, Hatton looked gaunt and ready to keel over on the scales.

Has flintoff got boxing experience? I used to box in the army and it isnt the kind of sport you just take up at his age and be a success at. Unless he proves me wrong! Fair play to him if he makes a go of it though just seems a bit strange
