Assuming Saints had their usual 300 or so down that would suggest a significantly bigger Hibs crowd than the Derby then.

Positive.

Dont think they even had 300, decent crowd under the circumstances. Onward and upward.

Even better from the Hibs fans then. Couldn't make today unfortunately so was only guessing the Saints support.

Looks like a few folk might be slowly starting to drift back.

I think youre correct bigger home support than for the derby IMHO

We are getting there re attendances. For me the nice thing on Alba at the end was that there seemed to be a spirit beginning to form between the squad. Ever since the quick comeback against the yams when we could have fallen apart I've thought this, and today at the end confirmed it to me. :aok:

Long long way to go. But steps have been taken...

Be fair, their supporters tandem got a flat tyre on the Forth Road Bridge or there would havew been two more.

I'd say 150-200 at most for them but fair do's to them for making the trip.

Haha.

Though to be honest these small clubs i feel the fans should be applauded rather than being laughed at to follow all over the country :agree: staying loyal to their local club and not one of the the uglies.

I agree and St.Johnstone probably have a bigger percentage of their home support go to away games than we do!

Some of our away crowds in the past 2/3 years have been as small as St.Johnstone's today so we can't mock.

What circumstances? FWIW I thought it was a poor crowd....Under 10k at home.....

On a positive note - some of our away crowds (in size) have been outstanding. we have the best fans in Scotland IMHO :flag:

We certainly used to have decent away support but I can't think of many big crowds in the past 2/3 years. Some have been pitiful. Hopefully they will increase but not sure how you qualify us as Scotland's best in any shape or form.

Guy in the ticket office told me that is down to the free child ticket with adult season so should look better all season.

Seen on twitter that the crowd today was bigger than the same game here last season and the largest in Scotland today, is the feel good factor starting to creep back?

If that is the mindset which puts people off attending, then that is piss poor.....Supporting your team is about watching them during the good and bad times....Not just about when they are winning, playing in Finals etc etc etc

There would've been more St Johnstone fans at Easter Road yesterday than there will be Hibs fans at Parkhead next week.

Is 2nd in the league and a steady start to the league not enough to get folk along or will folk on here still find excuses for not going?

Utterly bizarre figures which show the cup final effect. If we can get 9,200 v St Johnstone, under normal circumstances we'd have 16-17 K easy against the Yams in a first of the season encounter, which would have made it almost a sell-out and our biggest crowd at the new ER. That will probably come at New Year now.
