BBC Scotland's Keir Murray reports: "We're hearing that Levante, playing their first European match, will present flowers to Motherwell before kick-off as a tribute to Phil O'Donnell, the late captain of the Steelmen who collapsed during a game in 2007.

"The Spaniards learned about O'Donnell's tragic death while researching their Europa League opponents."

It's great to see things like this. Especially when it's not for publicity and a nice gesture which I'm sure it's the latter here.

A very nice touch.

The Motherwell midfield of the early 1990s was certainly fated with Davie Cooper, Jamie Dolan, and Paul McGrillan also having premature deaths, most while playing or training. Paul Lambert is one of the few survivors.

Great gesture, and a good start to their European campaign.

Yeah but for the sake of a minute's silence is it really worth kicking up all that fuss? It was pretty disrespectful and very silly from someone who really should have known better.
