12pm KO in Aberdeen, surely they are having a laugh? Anyone wanting to go to the game now either has to stay the night before near Aberdeen or leave ridiculously early in order to get to Aberdeen in time for Kick off.

This game is always on TV, remember the last one, Thomson gave a penalty that never was

Also interesting to see that Celtic's game against the Yams has been moved to a 12.45 KO on a Sunday. Not too sure the lesser greens will be happy with that.

Why am I not surprised by this remark?

Ridiculously early? 8am?
It's annoying but it's only three hours. And plenty of time afterwards to grab a few beers in Aberdeen.

Happy with this from a selfish point of view as I wasn't going to be going up there. Shocking time if you are planning on it though.

Half seven train if you're going that way - the only one that's likely to get you up there in time.

You'll be able to lie in until 11.30 before you head over to Todders anyway won't you? :greengrin

It's a bit of a hassle but suits me as I'm up here anyway. The only thing that annoys me is that I can usually score some hospitality tickets at Pittodrie, probably no point bothering this time! No bad thing though, means I get to sit with the Hibs fans.

Its not that bad, I have to make the journey to Edinburgh whenever there is an early kick off. Look at it this way you will be home in time for tea

Actually suits me, gives me an excuse to go out on the lash with my sheep mates the night before.

Nightmare for a lot of others though.

Anyone know how far it is from Aberdeen airport to Pittodrie? Only £44 to fly from Manchester, landing at 10:30am on Saturday morning...

£15 by taxi.
Bus to the City Centre and walk to ground would take you at least an hour.

I also see that the revised fixtures include Inverness v Ross County which was rescheduled to FRIDAY October 5th. The game will be on ESPN.

Friday night football would be the next best thing to Saturday 3pm kick offs in my eyes. I don't suppose the polis will have the same opinion however.

No contest when a 70 minute flights comes against 6+ hours on the train. Getting back appears to be a problem though!

Maybe one of the supporters buses will drop you at Edinburgh on the way back if they have space, or better still ask Pat for a run down the road

Agree. I like the idea of Friday night football especially at home. Quick change after work, few pints, game then out for a night out or just another couple of pints.

Police will definitely be an issue though.

Don't attend anywhere near as much as I'd like to, so just got to take the chance when I get a free Saturday. May have an attack of common sense between now and then though :greengrin

Dyce train station is very close to the airport. You could get a train from there to Aberdeen train station, it'd be a case of heading to Union street then following that to King Street, Pittodrie is up there. A number 2 bus would be one of the buses from Union St that drives past Pittodrie too.
