You have to wonder why they didn't thoroughly search the place before now?

They're now looking for the grans 37 year old boyfriend, who has gone missing, and has been shifty as **** since the start of the search. I put it down to him just being a ****my person in general, but it appears there may be more to it.

Just heard this also, and the same question came to mind why would they not have searched the last place she was known to be alive ? Even if just for clues ?

Morbidly fascinating while incredibly sad.

Makes you think that other family members must have been involved.

Police now saying the body was not found due to human error. Beggars belief really.

Never having searched a house for a body, let alone this lady's, I find it hard to pass any sort of comment on this situation.

Grans boyfriend now charged with murder and the Gran and another bailed pending further enquiries.

Crazy situation and really sad.

As for the Police not finding the body due to human error. Well, apparently they are now saying they should have found it last Sunday. That's pretty poor but no one really knows the circumstances and sadly people make mistakes. Not good but until all the details are out then It's a bit unfair to criticise to harshly imo.

I agree. The police were following multiple lines of enquiry as well.

The specialist search team should have found her but people make mistakes. The blame shouldn't be on the police here. It's on the **** that killed a little girl.

The "specialist search team" shouldn't make mistakes. I can accept mistakes from the police but not a team who are specialised in searching. The clue is in the name! Questions are rightly being asked.

If you murder someone would it not be a good idea to hide the body some place that the police have already looked. I'm not a fan of the police but maybe the body wasn't there first time round.

Reminds me of the old boy who went missing from Maybury area a few years back, despite Police searching the whole area he was found in his own garden days later which had already been searched by a specialist search team. He son was and still is a cop with L&B and received a public apology for the incompetence of the search officers.

No, they shouldn't make mistakes. However, we are human and people make mistakes.

Questions should be asked but the police shouldn't be bent over and shafted because of it. They showed perseverance and found the little girl. It was suggested in the media that the body may have been moved but I don't know if that was propoganda of sorts.

My final point still stands.

That was my initial thought but the BBC reporting the Police have admitted the body should have been found last weekend.
