Jon Daly is a very good player, a top class target man, unfortunately for us on many an occasion.

Realty surprised how he is still there. I think he will get snapped up by someone pretty soon.

If Dundee Utd are challenging for the league in January there is no doubt in my mind that Celtic will try to unsettle him.

Think it's help with Mackay-Steven and Russell on either side of him. He does his part and is a target upfront but Mackay-Steven and Russell often give him good deliveries into the box and latch onto Daly's flick ons.

And funnily enough an Irishman who could best have been descirebed as a journeyman who had failed to make any impact through the English lower leagues before doing well up here!

I think a player like Daly would make a HUGE difference to our team. Guaranteed goals, big asset for defending set pieces, clever link up play with others and also a good leader on and off the park. Seems to have an excellent rapport with the united fans as well with his hands up celebration which we seem to witness every time we play them!

Does anyone know what that stupid hand raising thing the Dundee Utd fans did when Daly scored was about? Looked bloody ridiculous. Was like being back at a school disco :rolleyes:
