I went along with a couple of my Falkirk supporting mates on Wednesday to their friendly against Hearts and I am delighted to say I witnessed Hearts get beat for the first time since Deeks' penalty in May 2009. I have to admit, I went all "give it Aldi" when Falkirk scored!
My assessment of the game is that they look the same old Hearts. Even in a friendly they were extremely physical and very tough in the tackle. Zaliukas was his usual thug self and Webster put himself about. They looked very weak in the full back areas as they had a couple of kids playing but I did see Grainger in the stand and McGowan played centre midfield so I've no doubt they will be back.
Touill and Templeton looked decent but John Sutton looked very average. I do still fear that our squad as it is just now will still seriously struggle against them so I am hoping PF can bring some new blood in soon.
