One of my wee lad's favourite programmes. I slag it off then sit down and watch it as well. Strangely addictive viewing.

So addictive to watch.

Whilst some of the food does look good, an equal ammount just looks awful imo. Watched one the other week with deep fried scallops WTF? That would be slightly less enjoyable than eating a car tire.

Seemingly he has to spend at least 3 hours every day on a treadmill, not surprised after seeing some of the stuff he eats!

Great show. :agree:

The Americans always go nuts and go over enthusiastic when he's doing it too, more than likely get an old woman screeming at him 'COME ON ADAM, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!'

I definitly think if I were to visit America I'd have to check out one of the places he's been to. :agree: Although, I'd suggest taking on any of teh challenges as part of a group rather than trying myself. :greengrin

No probably about it. Ok, slight exaggeration but portion control tends to be out the window.

Are you talking about scallops in general or just deep fried? I haven't tried deep fried but sautéed scallops, if done right, are amazing. I mean sea scallops which are bigger.

Scallops are absolutely delicious.

However even slightly overcooked they go very rubbery. Deep frying them is like blasting them with a nuclear bomb, you'd be as well just throwing them in the bin.

Can't imagine what the attraction is. Just don't get it at all.

used to watch this on the food channel about a year or 2 ago me and the missues loved it, such a random show but we used to v+ the series and watch ti whilst getting baked  only made me want to eat more and come up with ideas of making my own 'pig out joint' in edinburgh with simililar type food and chalanges.
Whilst on a tri pto the dam last year I though (in a world of my own) in depth of an idea - well 2 actually.

One was going to be called 'pasty puff' - basilcally making anything wrapped in pastry but with sauce in the middle, i tried to make one at home which although messy was a moderate sucess to me - chicken brest cut into strips, haggis and a fench mustard cream sauce with finly chapped onions tasted good but burnt my face and made a mess :greengrin

Second was a pizza but with all randon types of base sauces i actually cant think what ones i came up with.

Agree about overdone. I never ate scallops for a loooooong time because the first time tried them they were over cooked and rubbery. I thought that was just how they were. I tried again last year and was blown away at how good they are. If done right.
