You'd haver to lump in a decent sum to make it worthwile and for the time you'd have to wait to collect you'd be better sticking it somewhere else for a better return surely?

Better return means less chance of winning though.
Although, knowing my luck, Celtic would shoot themselves in the foot if I was to go through with it.

If Hibs could cause the upset, i'd be willing to lose my stake, and forego any winnings i'd have won.

You can get 3% on some ISA's and you won't feel guilty about it.

I was thinking more of something with a fixed rate return as opposed to a bet!
Is that like a 2% return?
I know bank rates are low but you can get at least 3% out there and access to it if you need it!

You can only get 1/5 on them winning it for the next 5 years. Surely no-one is actually putting a bet on.

Don't get too excited but 1/25 available with Coral and Bwin.

You would be better backing them in each league game to be ahead at half time & full time, over the season you would make a nice profit. :aok:
Hibs are 16/1 to win the SPL (in bettingwithout Celtic) each way is 1/3 the odds for 1st or 2nd.

No doubt someone will put a bit of cash on that. They are certainties to win the league for the next 5 years.

For comparing with bonds etc. it depends when they win it or, more accurately, when it pays out.
Paddy Power will probably pay out by Christmas! :greengrin

16/1 to finish 2nd then?
Its a bit of a fools bet. No way will we get anywhere near 2nd place this season. It's nice to dream though.
