Just made it back from Methilnomore. Wife thinks it was an awful long journey!
Anyway their Centre half after half time was enormous, I mean really fat. Did he win the half time draw or something and get to come out and play?
Who is the fattest footballer you have ever seen? I'll start with Andy Ritchie of Morton until today

That centre half was bob Malcolm. I thought Collin Samuel gave him a run for his money

In the SPL. Either John Hartson or Mark Yardley.
Collin Samuel was a big huddy as well.

I was there today. I immediately text my Celtic supporting mate saying Bob Malcolm has just came on for East Fife and you can see his overhanging gut through his shirt!

The OP is asking for fat "footballers".
I don't think big Nade fits into that category.
(I don't think he fits in anywhere)

I once asked Andrew Considine who was the fattest player he had played against - without hesitation he said John Hartson, he's even tubbier now!

Micky Quinn of Newcastle and Coventry is probably the fattest football ever to score goals on a regular basis at the upper levels of English Football.

Verhoeven is often teased about his size, which is uncharacteristic for a keeper, by opposing fans. In one match against ADO Den Haag during the 2010-11 season, the home supporters showered him with chants of "Pizza!" when he touched the ball.

Centre forward that was playing for Northampton Town last season. Just enormous. Simon Brown was a bit of a bloater as well.

Mark Yardley in a St Mirren strip two sizes too small. Not a pretty sight.
Had great close control though.... the ball would be blasted up to him, hit his gut with a dull thud and then drop dead ,right at his feet.

Ally McLeod of Hibs (the 1970s one) as already mentioned. He waddled a bit too. Helluva player for a while.
In the sixties Hibs had a small striker called Stan Vincent who was inclined to fat.

Oh dear. Mark yardley, model pro.
I bet if any of us played 5's with any of the above "fatties" we probably couldn't get the ball off them though.

The jannie who played for Broughton High School staff team when I played against them for my school [I was a ringer as I was still a pupil LOL] - tell you what though, boy was the best player on the park by a long country mile and could shift when he wanted to boot! ;)
Professional player? Derek Johnstone surely :) although not in the [far too much] flesh...

Read through the thread and getting a not bad team together by adding a couple of my own
Neville Southhall
John Greig Derek Johnstone Bob Malcolm Jannie from Broughton High School
Stevie Fulton Phil Stamp Charlie Miller
Frannie Lee Micky Quinn John Hartson
There are quite a few squad players waiting in the wings, I mean pie shop, namely Roughie, Robbo, Nade, John Parkin, Mark Yardley, Ally McLeod but we could do with a full back
