No chance according to .netters

Williams - the next Simon Brown

Whittaker - never a right-back - can't defend
McPake - injury prone
Bamba - bombscare
Murphy - no pace

Broonie - too hot-headed
Thomson - Mummies Boy

Shiels - too inconsistent
Zemmama - see Shiels and add in Ramadan

Stokes - dressing room problems
Fletcher - too one footed

Riordan at his best beats Stokes, Fletcher, GOC, Shiels etc at their best imo.

As a partnership I certainly would go with Riordan and O'Connor (in their prime) ahead of Fletch and Stokes.

I would have Fletcher over O'Connor every time.

Otherwise, pretty decent.

That starting 11 is as good as any in the league just now, however the subs are never league winning standard expect for O'Connor when not fat and Liam Miller when not playing like a complete pussy.

If they went an entire season without injuries then yes, if not, no chance.

I like Kujabi actually. He is very game and seems like a bit of a character. Would rather watch him than a boring clogger of a left back that was equally bad.

Too much of a liability for me at left back, as a left mid he might be better, running down the wing.

I don't think he took on a man all game in the final. What goods that if he's to be a winger?

I appreciate the manager may have asked him to play cautious but he could have tried to beat someone during the game.

Why are we assuming Williams is the man who should be in goals? He might prove to be as bad as Makalamby, Zibi or Simon Brown

Wee correction there.

Nobody has, is or ever will be as bad as Zibi.

Not much to choose between the 3 of them. I'd have gone with Stack as best of the recent Hibs keepers varying from mediocre to truly dire. Lets hope Ben lives up to expectations

Going on the team where it was at the actual time and players being the age they were then

Mowbray's inherited and built on team would comfortably finish second. If it were the team that won the League Cup they would comfortably finish second> Could they challenge Celtic No they were both too inconsistent. Both side would run current Celtic team close but lose out on squad depth.

I'd give Zibi a 10 year contract if the alternative was Simon Brown.

Only because you never saw O'Rourke and Gordon.
