I'd like to see us signing more players, too.
But I don't think we have enough money right now.
Players who can play in more than one position may be the way we have to go right now.
Players who can play one position would be an improvement.

It's funny how we seem to scratch our heads wondering how the likes of St Johnstone manage to put together teams with the right attitude and that are able to finish higher than us, yet at the same time many scoff when we think about signing exactly the kind of player that they sign.

I eas one of these people, scoffing all over the place, because he is nearly 34, I though was a lb and worst of all he used to play for hearts. I changed my mind when I heard pat talk about him and after I saw him play. He looked composed, comfortable with both feet and he could defend, which is always a treat.

He did not impress at all in the 30 minutes he got against a much better standard team on Wednesday. Although he was on when we had changed a most of the team.

Iv not seen these highlights, but in light of this information he can gtf hearts *******. If pat signs him I will melt my season card, which will be an inconvenience because I will have to buy another.

Would rather have John Brownlie back at right back than Maybury.

Indeed. In a couple of cases upright and sober would have been an improvement last season.

You think, matty?
Since when were football fans logical when it came to signings? Maybury was a positive signing for the Saints and could be a useful signing for us. At least if Pat does sign him, it will have been after a proper assessment of the guy.
Not because somebody in the pub told him AM was the boy to sign (De Graaf), or because AM was a pal from his last club and he reckoned Hibs could pay him money and provide him with free medical and training facilities (Thornhill) or because he had so much nasty baggage in the boot of his written-off sports car nobody else would touch him with a bargepole (guess who?).
