Nae wonder he never got his Nat King Cole. What an ugly mutha fugga!! :greengrin

I'm being facetious of course - a shame to see a species disappearing forever

Unless it is a Hun? :greengrin

But it is a shame to see the hard work put in by the staff at the Galapagos Islands in trying to get him to mate and see their efforts be futile, they came so close but the eggs were infertile. I hope that soon we will be able to learn more about his age and his species though. Hopefully another story doesn't come to a sad end like this one did.

It is sad when an animal that has been around for millions of years dies out, and it's sadly something that is likely to become increasingly common due to environmental damage around the world.

Indeed. A number of species are under threat and have recently been joined by the lesser spotted Rangers supporter :greengrin

The greater spotted Rangers supporter is still common. The name is derived from the severe acne that covers their coupons, and they can be seen out in the wild in you local Farmfoods, wearing a dirty shellsuit and an electronic tag.
