Just to let you know we are doing a follow up to our previous survey which we will launch tonight, I know you will think not another but whilst we all complete our own within our forums it's important to present a survey which represents the view of all Scottish football supporters.

All I ask is that you respond in numbers as you did in the previous survey the more that do the louder the voice.

We will keep all updates within this thread.

Thanks for your support Bill & Mark

The fan surveys are great ideas and show the level of feeling throughout the country. We as Hibees should be making sure our Chairman Rod Petrie has no excuse for not listening to our views. He could claim to not have read hibs.net or other fan forums. Let's leave him in no doubt, take the time to write a letter and post it to him. Address for the more challenged among us:

Will you stress that folks should use their original email so you can tie in their original response with this one (and items in future) so you can build a fuller picture of attitudes as they change over time? Or have them register in some way?

Also I think the Morton fan summed everything up fully in a nice sentence. Scottish football is down to its own hardcore supporters and we are on the verge of being alienated, this vote has to go the right way or else people will be watching English football at a rapidly growing rate.

Completed, but a word of warning, the confirmation email got stuck in Hotmail.com's spam bucket. I had to log in to my webmail to release it otherwise my email client would never have got it.

Tremendous work done by all involved. Its just this type of thing that may make some chairmen take the supporters a little more seriously.

It was in the spam folder of my googlemail account too. So make sure you check, folks! I just put the link on my FB status, try and get as many people as possible to voice their opinion :)

Just completed it. Hopefully the chairmen sit up and take notice of how much damage they are going to cause to their own clubs. They are effectively setting their heads on a guillotine and are waiting for their fans to walk far enough to break the rope to kill their club. They need to get the message, and they need to get it fast.

Completed and forwarded to various supporters of different clubs. If anyone wants a draft email to save time.......

"Don't normally pass these around but a survey has been released for a few days in relation to the SPL. Their last survey was widely quoted and reported in the press with over 16,000 responses. It is important chairman realise the effect their decisions will have on attendances and that they get a representative view. In the interests of balance I have forwarded this to supporters of various clubs and included Rangers supports in my list.
Can you all spare 30 seconds to fill in the survey and forward it to anyone you know?"

Done, also done the Scotsman survey. Be sure to add comments e.g Newco have no 3 yr accounts etc and therefore do not meet qualifying criteria.

Firstly Congrats on following up on the first and raising the profile and giving a voice to the "unheard".

Just a wee observation...

Its a Pity you appear to rule out a survey on the SPL2 "fudge"? Which would seem a little harsh on the SFL folks that you have asked and reported their opinions on. I do appreciate it is SPL Fans Survey tho and you can't possibly be all things to all people.

Wonder if the powers that be can then pass off the SPL2 fudge as a decent Compromise?

You can only complete once hence the email verification to prevent multiple submissions from same person.

Well done.

Just a thought... what's to stop Rangers fans hijacking the survey, and how do you stop people completing it twice (using more email addresses ?). Just asking the questions that Clubs might ask when considering the credibility for the results

In light of recent events we have decided to close the survey early as it is no longer relevant.

We have been asked to do an interview for the Glasgow Herald & Times for an article they will be running at the weekend on the role of supporters in the Rangers Newco/SPL saga.

When I first had the idea for the site it was always with League reconstruction in mind, however when the Rangers story broke I put it on the back burner.

Now with it being discussed I have done some work on the idea and have attached a sneak preview based on my idea's.

Folow link to first draft: http://cl.ly/2k1q1X1B272V3U3S2l3M

The intention was to invite feedback and look to how we could structure questions relating to it as a survey, this is a a first draft.

Basically I have based it on finishing positions in Scottish leagues last season.

The idea is a 30 match league season preceded by the opening stages of the League cup in a group format similar to the old days.

However on this occasion seed teams into 8 pots based on their finish in league the previous season and the top seeds are drawn with one in each group.

Second & subsequent seeds are then placed into groups on a regional basis to create interest through derby matches which in turn will hopefully lead to increased media & sponsorship interest with hopefully bigger gates.

Doing this creates a 40 game season then knockout stages & Scottish cup ties on top.

We are looking for feedback positive or negative with suggestions on how to structure it as a survey.

Feel free to email us or post in here.

Interesting idea, and the group stages for the League Cup are a neat solution to the main problem posed by a 16 team league of too few games. Is there any significance to the number shown against the Division One teams?

Main concern would be adding another seven teams to the existing forty one.

Just a rough breakdown of percentages tp pay out depending on finish positions for all leagues.

Like i said its a rough draft work in progress.

Agree about adding the seven but made the league cup easier or you could just invite top teams from senior leages to enter group stages of league cup?

The percentages thing makes sense, thanks.

Another thought - at the moment our European representatives enter the LC a round later to reflect their midweek European games. I assume that would no longer be the case?

They would have to enter at the start though matches would be played on a Saturday and they could rest key players in games against the weaker teams.
