View Full Version : *** Hibs.net 5 Aside Tournament - SIGN UP HERE ***

So if you fancy a good day of football and beer with a bunch of hibees then the hibs.net 5-aside tournament will take place on either the 4/5th of August, depending on our fixtures.

The event will take Place at the World Of Football at the Corn Exchange in Chesser.

The team must consist of atleast 5 people and a maximum of 7. All players must be Hibs fans with atleast one a member on Hibs.net. There is no age limit.

All teams must be there for 12pm. The tournament will last roughly 3 hours, possibly more depending on numbers of teams.


There will be a referee provided for every match.
There will be specific members of staff to ensure the tournament will run smoothly.
There will be a trophy provided by Hibs.net
There will be a post-tournament buffet and awards ceremony in the sports bar which will be open.

All this for the price of £20 per player. With a deposit of £15 per team. The more teams we get may mean a drop in price!

All monies raised will be getting split between both Sect 43 and the Dnipro Appeal.

Money can be sent through paypal to lewisglenfraser@gmail.com (please note team name on the payment) or be arranged to be collected before a game.

So for a day of football (beer and food) with fellow hibs fans helping out 2 great hibee causes then register your interest here with a team name!

Excellent... Except when will we find out whether or not it's the 4th or 5th?

I've pretty much got a team of 5 (Me + 2, + another 2 .net members) Maybe 7 if we think we need a sub or two depending on fitness etc.

My only problem is 2 of us have a wedding to go to on the 4th (poor timing on their behalf...).

If it's the 4th any chance of getting the other 2 .netters into another team?

Yeah Salt & Sauzee just let me know.

Although I read through your post I somehow managed to miss "will take place on either the 4/5th of August, depending on our fixtures."

Had also completely forgot that that was the weekend that the season starts.

Think me best head of to bed soon. :greengrin

p.s. Think I'm going to have to let my cousin down for a couple of hours on Saturday if our first game is a home game... May just half to nip along in my Kilt if that's what I'm wearing... :cool2:

Whats the format..? What's the minimum amount of games us fat bassa's are gonna get? :greengrin

All depends on numbers, will be group stages then a knockout. You should get a minimum of 4 games (based on 10 teams) :thumbsup:

If anyone on here is putting together a team and needs an extra body, feel free to ask - sounds like a good idea, but I really don't have the time to be trying to organise a team right now :aok:
