View Full Version : Hibs.net 5aside tournament

It's been mentioned before, so thought I'd give it another shout.

Does anyone fancy a wee 5aside tournament one day over summer. We could see how many teams we could get and if we were a bit light we can get teams from the bounce and dare I say even from kickback.it would all be done properly with a group stage and then knockout. Medals/trophys for the winners etc.

If you know you could get a team and would be interested in this then say here and we can see how much interest there is and then get dates and venue sorted.

Nobody is representing anyone apart from their own team!

So is it teams of 5 .net members? Think defo Hibees only. If other fans are allowed they should wear a different colour so we know who to go hard in to. :na na:

Can we not bring our own teams, I could put a team together but not all post on here, plus 1 supports the lesser greens.

Either way if this gets organised I'd be up for it!

It wouldn't really be a .net tournament then. Even if it's not, gotta be 5 Hibees imo.

I may be in the same boat, although I may be able to get three (including myself). You could be our 4th if you're needing a team, but we'd need 1 more. I'll ask the other 2 hibs fans (my brother and a mate) if they fancy it.

Same here, can fill a team with Hibs fans but not all post here, actualy I'm the only one I know off that posts and one is registered but never posts.

Could make it a Hibs fans only tournament organised by .net who would receive any profits for the running of the site.

I'm not speaking for the owners of the site, but I don't think they would want any profits.

Anyway, I'd be up for a game if I can shake of my ropey knee, but it would depend on the date.

Not ever sure if there would be any anyway,

If the guys do get so something set up though it would be good to make it Hibees only but not solely members of here.

A wee 5's tourney over the summer sounds good though!

A bit different surely, solely Hibs fans, a wee tournament against other teams, no just 10 boys pick 5 each.

How many would play from here only?

As for the venue, I've been trying to set up a 5 aside tournament at my work and got the following infor from Power League at Sighthill...
