That's the surnames on the left, and the forenames on the right....so Bolton have released 13, not 26.

Is this actual frees or just contracts up? Paul Scholes hasn't been freed for example and signed a one year deal.

Craig Gordon free?

Do you think there was a wages issue? I thought they'd work something out to keep him on lower terms with big bonuses when he played. He'll have been on a good wage and everyone knows he's not going to be fit enough to play all the games.

Wasn't there chat that they would be offering him a deal later in pre season if he was fit enough?

That wouldnt be a surprise. He's a good player and they have a good record with him in the side.

Unfortunately his knees are shot. It has been a miracle that he has been able to play for the last two seasons as he hasn't been able to train.

I suspect that he will be looking to move into coaching.

Almunia in goals and Drogba up front, that'll do for me.

I'd take Pogrebnyak, Owen or Saha at The Hammers on a free along with Bas Dost from Holland.

Craig Gordon is definitley on a free.

The talk is he will be re-signing for Sunderland, but because his contract is up he never played the required number of games to trigger another million pound plus payment to the yam-fud's :agree:

Any of these keepers would do for me Tomas Kuszczak , Manual Almunia , Marcus Hahnemann or even Craig Gordon . We used to be well known for our goalies until a few years ago , ie. Tommy Younger Lawrie Leslie Andy Goram Alan Rough Jim Leighton to name but a few . It is time we had another top keeper to build the team around.
