hertz really do attract the low-life of society don't they, if there was a league for beasts and sexual predators hertz would be champions each and every season :agree:

and wee airdrie jambo would agree

This is obviously a disgusting incident, but lets not taint everyone with the same brush.

He used to collect glasses in a pub I used to drink in. He was a teenager at the time and was a good guy. He's a die hard jambo but you could always have a bit of banter with him and he was the last person I thought would have done something like this.
I'm genuinely shocked. He comes from a nice family and they must be absolutely gutted.

Have known him for years, he's been in my house on several occasions and I definitely did not think him capable of anything in that article. I'm shocked and feel a little sick, when i first heard about this a while back i thought it must have been a bit of a misunderstanding.

Absolutely stunned.

The last time I saw him was before the semi in 2006. We were in the same pub early in the morning and we had a drink together and a laugh. The first reaction is to hope that he done this for a laugh or that this is a curable illness but if we didn't know him we'd probably be calling for his head. I feel sick about this too but again, how do his family feel?

We all like to think of ourselves as good judges of character.

Heard about this a few months ago but obviously no details of who was accused, just that he was a coach at Tyncastle FC

He does indeed come from a nice family, I know his Mum well as my Mum lived next door. Just cannot believe this, he seemed like such a decent laddie.

Reading the various reflections on this criminal's character I am reminded of a line used by a senior detective in the Met's paedophile unit: "Paedophiles are nice guys. They have to be"
Insidious and manipulative, these vile abberations know that the easiest way to get to kids is generally through the trust of other adults, and if they can project a 'nice guy' image it makes that avenue to child molestation less hazardous for them.
Horrible excuses for humanity.

100% correct for couple of years I knew him he was a good guy. But no excuses acceptable once a pedophile always a pedophile

I think he means when the een posted their first article about this a few months back, it didn't mention anything in detail and only mentioned filming on a phone briefly and I think a lot of people hoped he was just having a laugh and it had been a bit of a misunderstanding or somebody had had it in for him. Turns out he's a deceitful, sneaky human being who deserves all he gets.
