My fear all along was that Hibs would freeze on the day. The expectations of 110 years was
IMHO was to big a burden for not just those players to handle. Better teams have failed
like Turnbuls tornadoes v Celtic 1972, Clyde 1958 etc etc. You could see right from the first
whistle they were overwhelmed with tension. whether we will ever see Hibs lift the Holy
grail is very unlikely due to the pressure that a Hibs team would be under. Hearts played
with no such restriction and infact could have inflicted a 7 or 8 1 doing. The sad thing
was had we lifted the cup the financial benefits and increased gates would have
benefited big time for next season. Oh nice gesture from Fenlon to apologise to the fans
for today's fiasco, what about a wee word from Farmer/petrie. Tell you what vlad was
their today do you think Farmer bothered doubt it, that's the differance. Hearts have
dept like the majority of clubs but they win trophys.
