Pretty much sums up exactly how I feel. I will be happy forever!

Should be all the motivation the players need, IMO.

Do it for Reilly.

'It will make my life if the Hibs can pull it off'.

Had the privilege of shaking Lawrie's hand outside Hampden prior to the 2001 SC Final.

I honestly can't begin to imagine just how good a win would feel for all of us, but his quote is pretty close to the mark.

You must have been there about a similar time to me Stevie cos I done the same. Gordon Smith was there too.

Let's hope the team read his message and complete this legend's life.

One of the LAST of the Old School who played the game magnificently and fairly.
Has been a credit to Hibernian , Scottish Football and the game in general.
It would be nothing short of MAGNIFICENT to see the Hibs legend be invited by the Hibernian Cup Winners current team to Hold the Trophy aloft and take a bow to the Hibs legions :flag:

Didn't see GS mate, but shaking Mr Reilly's hand gave me at least one fond memory of that day.

Just finished the Life and Times of Last Minute Reilly (which I followed with Eddi Turnbulls Having a Ball).
Should we do it perhaps it is fitting that the last remaining Member of the famous five be in his own words born a Hibee - whilst the others merely became Hibees.

:agree: Hibs Class agrees!

Did Lawrie say if he was going to the game? I've a recollection he regards himself as a Hampden jinx so wondered if he may be staying away.

I hope when we lift the cup we have the class that Man City had in having their previous greats involved in the celebrations.....
