Have you spoken to the guys on the overseas board on here. I know they have all been busy trying to sort themselves out but they may be able to give you pointers.

I think the whole point of the database is that you need to attend or buy tickets for a category B or below match first, so that you are known to Hibs before buying tickets for a Category A game. The whole existence of the database would be worthless if you could just get your name added on for a Category A match. I appreciate living abroad makes that difficult. If everyone behaved themselves at games there would be no need for a database, but unfortunately they exist.

The database is more than just behaving (although part of it). It's about loyalty now and "getting credit" for spending on hibs whether it be tickets, merchandise. And rightly so in my opinion. I've been arguing that the club should "know" their customers and first is knowing who the heckthey are.

For future reference.

Buy a cheap ticket for a crappy game and get them to post it to an Edinburgh address (give it to your Maw or something).

There you go, you are on the database. Job done.

Or get Somone back home when buying tickets for a group to add your name, I have done this with my brother in the past.

I know this doesn't help you now, hopefully somebody will lend you their client reference number.

So what time are the queues expected to start in the morning for the public sale of cup final tickets?

woodyloon

I phoned this morning just to check my status re database and I was told I was not the database. Not a suprise as it is always the wife who pays for the tickets for me and her and the 2 boys, and any time we have spent £100's in the clubshop or online it is always my wife who has ordered it(well I thought I had in the past). So because my wife was never asked or thought to give the other peoples details for the other tickets I can't phone for the chance of any tickets in the public sale.

I was told if I bought a season ticket I would get on the database but he can't add me through my wifes profile, as I work a lot of weekends a season ticket is not much use anyway.

So i'm totally gutted and disappointed after being a Hibee for 40 years, that I am left hoping my wife can get out of her meeting tomorrow to try and get tickets, whilst I sit at home.

If you're not on the database now, you've no chance, think you had to be on it prior to last home game, any walk up punters who were not registered last night don't go into draw or can't buy online general sale.

Why don't u just go to at least 1 game in 38 and then u would be able to get a ticket for the final. Instead of not going to a game all season and then turning up to a final? Might sound harsh as u live abroad but if u can come back to Scotland for the final then surely u can come over for at least one other game??

Go to the login page. Login with the details you registered with. If you've never registered, choose "activate my account" and enter your client ref. If you don't have a client ref then you're out of luck for the eTicketing.

Which is utter balls as the page says to click "Create Account"...which doesn't exist. I contacted the Ticket Office to ask about this but I didn't get a reply. I hate, hate, hate! when web sites provide a method of providing feedback and then ignore it. So how do I get into the database? You NEED a client ref number to sign up though. If you've got one sign up the now and you'll have a chance for tickets. If you haven't got one it doesn't matter if it's today, tomorrow or next week. You won't be able too.

You don't need a client ref, at least not according to the site. There are several options. If you're a person who has never purchased a ticket and therefor don't have a client ref, you're instructed to click "Create Account"....which is nowhere to be found. It's a moot point, I'm just grumbling about another "simple" thing that isn't as it should be. I can sign up anytime before next season, I'm sure.

EDIT : from the site...

I have never purchased a ticket before

For Cat B games you will need to register an account with us. You can do this by clicking "Create Account" below

Just so there's no confusion, this is the exact wording:

10am - On-line and telephone sales of any tickets remaining from the Priority Sale and/or those that may be returned from the Scottish FA or Hampden Park Ltd. Supporters purchasing on-line or on the Hibernian Ticket Sales Hotline 0844 844 1875 option 1, must already be registered on the Club database and will be limited to 2 tickets per purchase

If you have multiple people in your party on the database then get them logged in and purchasing at the same time. Though you probably won't end up sat together, mind.

I was on it on Monday and seen there is an option for creating a network with other people on the database. Assume that is so you can purchase in a group and all sit together.

GMack7 - You could try activating 2 (or 3) of your reference numbers tonight and linking them together in the network. I'm really not sure how it will all work tomorrow though, it may not let you buy more than the 2 tickets.

No, it isn't. Any ticket you've bought and registered on the database gets you a client ref number - the client ref number is your identifier on the database. I can assure you, I've not ever had a ST but I have a client ref.

The_Todd

I've not had a st since 08/09 and still have the same ref number.

The ref number stays with you if you have a ST or not. If you've used your client ref to buy tickets after your ST lapsed then your client ref stays live.

If you client ref doesn't get used for 2 or 3 years for anything (ST, normal Cat A or B tickets) then I think it goes into the ether.

I'm sure there's a cut off but I could be wrong and it would do no harm for anyone with an old client ref to try it, even if it means more people for me to compete with tomorrow.

You may well be right just its the first I had heard of it. I thought it was a case of once your on the database that's you on it for good.

Why don't u just go to at least 1 game in 38 and then u would be able to get a ticket for the final. Instead of not going to a game all season and then turning up to a final? Might sound harsh as u live abroad but if u can come back to Scotland for the final then surely u can come over for at least one other game??

I understand what you're saying but its a little naive. When I come home I usually have a ton of things to do that push Hibs down the list. That's if I'm even over during the season and on days that Hibs are playing at home. There are lots of hurdles. Plane fare is a killer.

I phoned up earlier on behalf of my boyfriend and they said that as long as the season ticket holder doesnt have any tickets assigned to them already! I said what if he only has one ticket assigned and he said he could get another!!!

As there is nothing on the official site referring to this, then I don't think this is right. There was a lot of detail about who could buy what when the priority sale was launched, so I don't think they would miss an important detail like this today.

Can someone help? Im currently waiting in queue online and also trying continuously on the phone. The problem is that Im not even sure if I can purchase once I get through. I was a season ticket holder for 20 years up until 3 years ago - since then I have gone to games but only ever paid at the gate or purchased tickets at the store. When I have purchased at the store all they needed was my name and address.

Will my name and address be enough if I get through on phone or online? Or should I have a ref number or something similar?

how far along the green bar are people who are waiting in the online queue? I'm just half-way through the word 'how'...not even half-way along the bar yet!

't' in estimate :boo hoo:

I'm back at the timing bar and just tried phoning but disconnected.

Added 2 tickets to basket but it asked me to assign 1 of them to another member. I've already bought the one I was allowed as an existing ST but was trying to get two together so I can go with my mate. Tried to start again, but just went straight back to the timing bar. Stupid me. Stupid system.

So if you have bought some as a Season Ticket holder already, you are not allowed to buy anymore??

How big is this call centre?

I imagine one Australian lassie taking calls and two old women on their break knitting shreddies.

:grr:

Think it will be 2019 by the time the green bar fills up :-(

I think my bar just moved:greengrin 3/4 of the way there I would say.
and the sickly sweet voice on the ticket line is doing my head in already!
What the chances if I get tickets today they can put them together with my ticket I bought with my membership?

You're fine on the phone but you'd need to know your client ref number for online. If you have any old tickets you've bought in advance from the TO (ie. not pay at the gate) then it'll be printed on them.

Well I logged on at 9:55am thinking that anything earlier would be pointless and get you timed out. Think I'm approaching 10% done, hopeless case?

It took me a good half hour logging in at 9.15 to get the green bar loaded fully. If everyone has logged in around 10 you should be ok as everyone will be in the same boat.

Not even at the writing yet  Now resurrected the wife's laptop so to get two goes at it.

I've stopped ringing the phone number as it would cost a fortune to keep going.

Will be raging if I don't get anything seeing as I had 2 tickets in my basket at 10.05 and it wouldn't let me complete my transaction.

Logged one PC in at 9.25 and it's still only half way along that bar!!!
This PC is about 10% along, what a waste of time Hibs well done you've upset your loyal support!

Sack Ticketmaster I'll help you build a new system Rod

I was trying to get a ticket for my daughter and also tried the phone but same as all on here disconnected cos the agents are all busy !!!

Wonder if they've sold anywhere near 1/10th of the tickets on sale with this shambles?
