Naming of our Stands

It just occurred to me last night that the Famous Five Stand does not have its name at the top, which happens in most grounds where stands are named.

I suggest that this is put right for next season but that we also name the other stands after Hibs legends. May I propose :

East Stand - Eddie Turnbull
South Stand - Pat Stanton
West Stand - James McPake

i would call the south stand the 7-0 stand just to jog a few memorys when a certain team come visiting(or the 6-2 stand if you want)

it was called the dunbar end after the old juice factory that used to be behind it thats gone now,but the 7-0 is never going away it will still have relevance in 60 years time also the 7-0 stand sounds great and would look even better on certain away supporters tickets

I wouldn't be in a rush to name stands after individuals. The only exception I'd make is for the west stand when the one and only Pat Stanton is heaven-bound - and I hope that's not for a long, long, long, long time and several Scottish Cup-winning years.:pray:

Naming a stand after an individual is tricky - we'd all agree on Stanton but what about Sauzee or Baker? Maybe the West Stand should be named for the Tornadoes instead?

That said, there is one man I'd make an exception for and I look forward to the opening home game of next season as we parade the Scottish Cup before the newly re-named Petrie East Stand.

I was sitting opposite two people at lunch; one was eating a banana while making a grinding jaw noise, and the other was eating crisps and then licking his fingers individually. I had to eat outside.
