That's the official attendance - which is great and is almost certainly the most Hibs fans who've been in the stadium this season.

But the ESPN bodge said it was our highest of the season full stop.

Surely not?? We must have got >15k before for a derby or Old Firm game??

I can tell you that is not accurate...at least one turnstyle in West Lower with no operatonal scanner

There were no scanners, surely they were doing either tickets sold or turnstile "clicks"?

Now that would make sense for the draw - but as mentioned saying there were 5219 spare seats

My season ticket wasn't scanned in the West today.

Fantastic attendance today, and a fantastic atmosphere, Easter Road should always be like that

Good crowd, cracking atmosphere.

Can we keep ER like this from now on please, my whole block was packed when normally we would have the freedom of it.

Definitely looked a lot busier than that on the TV, was struggling to see anything bigger than the odd empty seat!

When Gaz went off, the buzz around the ground was amazing :agree:

There was a block of seats in the east which were empty - maybe 150, I dunno, plus the south upper which was mostly empty but 5000+ empty spaces......not so sure about that.

Never 5000 empty spaces

Never 5000 empty spaces

Most of the top tier of the South was empty not to mention the segregation strip in the lower tier. There were at least 2,000 empty seats there.

There were large gaps in the corporate area in the West and FF upper, say 1,000.

There were spaces in the West in the flanks both upper and lower.

There were a smattering of empty seats where I was towards the back of the FF upper.

15,000 to 16,000 looked about right to me.

8,000 more than it would have been if it was a nothing game

So daft kick off time and live on tv, yet it results in over 15k. Mmmmmm

I had to laugh at all the extra kids / wifes / GF's / pensioners who looked like they had been dragged there for the benefit of the 'lottery' seat chance  and then were fairly enjoying themselves.....lot of explaining required if they think its always like that....:greengrin

Second highest attendance this season at ER was 15,013 against the Hearts 2nd Jan, we have had 6 games other than tonight's games over 10k this season, 3 against Celtic, 1 Rangers, 1 Hearts and 1 Aberdeen. Interestingly tonight's attendance was exactly 10k more that Wednesday nights game at Aberdeen.

It shows you how many fans have stopped going that that is our highest attendance of the season.

Great atmosphere, best for a while, but we really should be pulling in 18k plus for Derbies at least. In fact, it should be a full house.

Shows how bad Coco the clown calderwood ran the footballing side of this club while he was here that he lost so many fans.

15 000 yet the east, west and FF were apparently 'sold out'?

Click on the link and then the picture to enlarge - ER looks and sounds a different place when full :top marks

Was good seeing the electronic advertising boards flash up with messages in different languages to try and promote the club also :aok:

Maybe we should have a relegation 6 pointer with the chance of a cup final ticket v Hearts thrown in very season to boost the attendance

Attendance is calculated on turns of the turnstiles, not tickets scanned. It's more accurate than you think.
I know because this I install and maintain them

what an atmopshere tonight definitely not 5,000 seats left there was only the south upper that was mostly empty west and east were full and famous five lower was 2/3 full definitely the most hibs fans this season considering if you think about the derby having 3,000 hearts fans there and dunfermline only having about 1,000 tonight (good support from them to)!

Only the East was sold out. Even there you could see odd empty seats, from season ticket 'no shows'.

There were plenty of empty seats in the FF upper and in the West lower before you start on the 'black seats'.

Do you work for/with Tate Systems in that case?

I guessed at 14k so happy with the official crowd. Surprised that our stubs were ripped off rather than scanned though.

Surely somebody in the corridors of power can see that this size of crowd could be the norm rather than an occasional. Teams competing for something tangible (in this case survival) rather than a meaningless procession behind the OF is what is required.

You took the words right out of my mouth, a competitive league will bring crowds back, and that was with the game on TV.
What could it be like with 3pm Saturday kick off's the money the old firm bring with their bigoted support would pale into insignificance.
