Im sure there were one or two on here ..anyway I found my late Fathers discharge book & some of the vessel's he sailed on just wondering if any of you remember them or indeed sailed on them ..

Never sailed on any of those mentioned mate, but did sail with a few of the companies above. He must have been a shipping federation member as opposed to a company man.

He must have been a shipping federation member as opposed to a company man.Think he was in his earlier days mate, I remember he sailed with the Ben Line for a while & also when based at Leith docks "pool" he sailed on The Dorset Coast & the Roth Beaver. He also worked for Vickers & sailed on the Viking & the Vanguard. There are hundreds more but Ive yet to find them, he finished up in the late 80's working on the oil rig supply vessels whilst based in Aberdeen.
