JUDO: Edinburgh fighter Sally Conway secured a top-eight finish on a largely frustrating day for the British judo squad at the European Championships in Russia. Conway, who claimed a bronze medal at the recent Olympic Test event in ExCeL, won two bouts to progress to her Pool final of the under-70kgs, but lost out to Poland’s Katarzyna Klys, which sent her into the repechage.
