For something non-cup related ...

The Scottish U21s are playing Italy next Wednesday night at Easter Road. Tickets are only £5 for adults and £2 for kids. Leigh Griffiths is not in the squad.

I plan on going. Is anyone else?

I want to see what this Islam Feruz is like. Won't make the game probably but would be a good one to go and see!

I went to see Islam Feruz play in the English youth cup semi between man utd and chelski at OT. Got to say, this boy definitely has talent. If he was still at smeltic, it won't suprise me if he was making a couple of appearances off the bench for them. Big bright future ahead for this lad.

What an excellent price! As weather is crap suggested we take the boys club up.

If its half as good as Iceland game was it should be a belter!!

Ridgers stretchered off at start of 2nd half and game bit flat since then. Italy deserve to be ahead. Usual flurry of subs. Be interesting to see how Feruz does.

Did it look serious?

I dont think hearts have a back up keeper if he is out of action.

It wasn't Ridgers that was stretchered off. It was the goalie who replaced him at half time.

Hearts fans shouting about S43 and snapping seats? Whilst sitting in S44... shower of fuds!

No seats were broken tonight. There was however chanting.

Over 4,200 at the game. Decent crowd for a friendly. Italy were streets ahead of Scotland and if it wasnt for Ridgers in the 1st half the score would have been greater.
Adam got a bad injury at the start of the 2nd half, hope he's ok!

BBC have it at 2,541 and it seemed nearer that from where I was sitting.

As I left the ground the stadium announcer mentioned the crowd and I thought he said 4,200. Lots of noisy kids at the game which is great to see them at games

Not doubting he said that mate - I couldn't make him out all night - but the BBC figure (here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17849719)) is awfully specific to be so far out. As you say decent atmosphere though, plenty flags etc.
